Cat Nutrition: The Food, The Bad & The Ugly: Part 1: Dry Food!

Cat Nutrition: The Food, The Bad & The Ugly

Howdy paw-tna’! In this town we take cat nutrition VERY seriously. Part one of our saga is a showdown between and one of my oldest nemesi – he’ll two-step into your homestead like a long-lost family member. Before you know it – you and your cat will fall under his spell! His name? … KIBBLE.

This is a topic I am truly passionate about. That said, I am by no means a specialist, a vet, or a nutritionist. That’s why I urge you to do your own due diligence. Here’s some great info to get you started…

I’m not sure if you’re still reading the comments here, but I wanted to ask what you thought about mixing water with dry food. We feed our cat half a can of wet food and a quarter cup of dry food soaked in water for about an hour in the morning and the same again in the afternoon. It equals about the calories we’ve calculated for our cat by weight. The reason we do it is because where we live is quite remote area and getting the cans in is very, very expensive,’due to scarce resources on our little island It’s the best we can do right now. Raw not really an option when there are people who can’t feed themselves as it is here. I’m sure you don’t need to strain yourself to believe that we love our cat more than life itself, but this financially, and culturally has made sense to us. Any thoughts?

Big ask for a rescue raised on dry, if you want my like on a feeding video, give me a plan, I’ve been looking for one. There are more opinions on feeding that I can comprehend, the recommendations on to even when to start are many, right down to my own Vet.

The way he says kibble at the beginning like it’s a slur 🤣🤣🤣

  4. With regards to obesity, it is only indoor cats that get obese. That’s gotta tell you something.

And if we’re speaking of nature, what is more natural than a cat roaming.

I do not believe any cat guardian who has an indoor cat is a cat lover or guardian, rather they are an owner/prison warden.

  5. I know this is an old video, but can you tell me, would they need toothbrushing in the wild, and will this wet diet increases the need for brushing?
